Unless you live in Continental Europe, then I can guess that you've probably never seen one of these:
This is the Peugeot 504 coupe. This particular one is one of the last models. They were made from the early '70s until the early the early '80s. This is a "mark 3", the "mark 1" having chrome bumpers and four small headlights (see the cabriolet below), and the "mark 2" (at the bottom) having chrome bumpers and the neater one piece headlamps like this "mark 3". The "mark 3" here went to plastic bumpers. There were many other minor differences between the different models which I'm not gonna bore you with.
The cars came with the original 504 2 litre saloon indestructible straight four, or the V6 from the 604.
504 coupe's were made only with left hand drive, except a few which were converted, but are relatively easy to convert by using 504 saloon RHD parts.
I'd love to own one but sadly there's one fatal flaw with these cars - corrosion. Unlike other Peugeots they were made in Italy in the Pininfarina factory out of the same stuff as all those Lancias and Fiats which rot so quickly here in the damp English weather. There was also a soft top version, some how I prefer the coupe.
